Elina Svitolina gets Harry Styles gig invite after gifting her own tickets to fan due to Wimbledon run
Elina Svitolina not only scored a place in the quarter-final at Wimbledon with her win over Victoria Azarenka, but she has also scored a congratulatory message from Harry Styles as well as tickets to any of his remaining concerts.
Former world No 3 Svitolina bought tickets to attend the Styles gig in Vienna, Austria, on Saturday evening, but she had to cancel her plans after reaching the round of 16 at SW19.
Her tickets, though, did not go to waste as she offered it on social media, writing: “Hey guys, I was supposed to go to see my fav @harrystyles concert in Vienna tomorrow…but Wimbledon changed my plans. Someone want to go? I have two tickets.”
She gave it to a fellow Ukrainian Anna Tilniak and her son David and she has been richly rewarded as she not only went on to win her fourth-round match against Azarenka, but has received an invitation from Styles himself to attend one of his concerts.
Following Sunday’s match, Azarenka was asked if winning was better than going to a Styles concert and replied: “I hope Harry is watching. I am just a big fan of his.”

Styles may not have watched the match, but he did get the memo and replied to one of Svitolina’s Instagram posts.
“Congratulations!” he wrote. “We have four shows to go, you’re welcome at any of them. Good luck with the rest of the tournament.”
Svitolina’s four options for the Styles concerts are July 12 (Barcelona, Spain), July 14 (Madrid, Spain), July 18 (Lisbon, Portugal) and July 22 (Regio Emilia, Italy).
It remains to be seen if she will take up the offer as she will next be in action on Tuesday when she plays world No 1 Iga Swiatek in the last eight at Wimbledon.
Svitolina only returned to the WTA Tour in April – barely six months after she gave birth to her first child Skai – but she has enjoyed some rollercoaster rides as she reached the quarter-final of the French Open and now the last eight at Wimbledon.
Asked about her fitness, she replied: “So far I feel fine. For me, as soon as I had an opportunity to practice, as soon as I had the green light from doctors, at the beginning of my comeback I was really working hard on my fitness, I was working out a lot. This was really a priority for me.
“Now I feel like this was the right way. It was the right thing to do. Then it took a little bit of time for me to transfer it on the court.
“But, yeah, I’m very happy with my fitness so far. Have my physio here right now. We are working hard to prepare me for each match. So far it’s been injury-free. This is the priority right now.”
