Raducanu’s historic run at Flushing Meadows saw her win 10 matches without dropping a set en route to becoming the first qualifier – man or woman – to win a Grand Slam.
The teenager was only 18 when she won her maiden major and the US Open was only her second Grand Slam event.
Her only previous appearance in one of the four big tournaments was at Wimbledon when she reached the fourth round in a main draw debut.
The Brit, though, stunned the sporting world with her performances in New York and she won the title after defeating fellow teenager Leylah Fernandez from Canada 6-4, 6-3 in the final.
Raducunu’s success at the US Open helped her to move inside the top 30 of the WTA Rankings, having started the year outside the top 300, while she ended inside the year inside the top 20 after winning her first two matches on the regular WTA Tour later in the year.
