Emma Raducanu confirms she is ready to return as she releases practice video

Emma Raducanu is preparing to return to action for the first time since her stunning US Open win and she looked to be in great form in a practice session at the Lawn Tennis Association’s HQ in London.
After making a glamorous appearance at the premiere of the new James Bond movie on Tuesday night, the 18-year-old was back down to work as she prepared for her assault on the BNP Paribas Indian Wells event next week.
Raducanu has accepted a wildcard into the event and is already seen as one of the favourites to claim the title after her immaculate run in New York saw her win the US Open without dropping a set.
The Brit will rise to No 21 in the WTA Rankings next week and that rise will continue if she shines at Indian Wells, where 1000 ranking points will be on offer.
“I got back on court a few days ago,” she confirmed last week. “I was feeling pretty good about myself and my game, and I am very excited to compete again.
“All the opportunities I am getting have been very fun, but where I really want to be is on the tennis court, as I’m just thriving out there.”
Now Raducanu has sent out a warning to her new rivals at the top of the women’s game, with a training video confirming she is hitting the ball superbly as she prepares to return to America.

Raducanu’s life has been transformed since she last flew to America, as she is now a global superstar and one of the most talked-about sports stars in the world.
She will have to deal with inflated expectations from now on, but on this evidence, she seems to be relishing the challenge.
