Filip Krajinovic reveals Novak Djokovic will play in Davis Cup Finals as they have ‘an agreement to play’

Novak Djokovic looks set to represent Serbia at the 2021 Davis Cup Finals with compatriot Filip Krajinovic revealing they have set their sights on winning the title and “Novak is with us”.
Having lost in the US Open final against Daniil Medvedev, Djokovic was expected to make his return at the BNP Paribas Open but he withdrew as he felt he needed more time to recover.
Many believed that the world No 1 might well have played his last match of a long and tiring season, but it appears he will take part in at least one more tournament as Krajinovic says the 20-time Grand Slam winner has agreed to be part of the Serbia team for the Davis Cup Finals.
“I would like to use the next three tournaments to raise my game before the Davis Cup,” he told Blic.
“We are going there with all the best players, so our goal is to lift the trophy, just like we did in 2010.
“Novak is with us, so we are surely not going there to lose. We made an agreement to play, all of us, we are eager to get that trophy.”
The 2021 Davis Cup Finals will run from November 25 to December 5 in Austria, Italy and Spain.
Serbia, who exited in the quarter-finals at the 2019 tournament, have been paired with co-hosts Austria and Germany in Group F and their group matches will be take place in Innsbruck.
