French Open Quiz: Can you answer these 13 fiendish questions?
One of the biggest tournaments in tennis is moving ever closer, with the 2024 French Open just days away.
This year the tournament is particularly interesting, with a dominant favourite in the women’s draw – while it is all to play for in the men’s event.
Two-time defending champion and world No 1 Iga Swiatek is looking for a fourth crown at the event and is the overwhelming favourite to claim what would be a fifth Grand Slam title.
But the Pole does face some stiff competition, potentially from the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, and Elena Rybakina.

The men’s draw paints an entirely different picture, with doubts circling over the top three players in the world.
World No 1 and defending champion Novak Djokovic’s form has been patchy at best in 2024, while world No 2 Jannik Sinner and No 3 Carlos Alcaraz enter Paris under an injury cloud.
And with the chasing pack of players such as Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, and Casper Ruud all yet to taste Slam glory, picking a winner in the men’s draw is a tough challenge.
While this also looks likely to be Rafael Nadal’s last Roland Garros campaign, with an emotional farewell for the Spaniard set to take place if and when he tastes defeat on Court Philippe Chatrier.
In the men’s draw home interest will be spearheaded by 17th seed Ugo Humbert, with Adrian Mannarino and young gun Arthur Fils also set to star.
While Caroline Garcia leads French interest in the women’s draw, as former French No 1 Alize Cornet prepares for her final appearance at the event.
This is a tournament that has certainly produced some of tennis’ most iconic champions over the years and has also thrown up a fair few surprises, with some shock champions storming to victory on Court Phillippe Chatrier.
