Iga Swiatek’s ranking, prize money, sponsors and her next tournament
Iga Swiatek has already achieved more than some of the game’s all-time greats and now this five-time Grand Slam champion is aiming for more.
Swiatek had a strong start to the 2025 season, as she reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open before losing a heartbreaking third-set tiebreak against eventual champion Madison Keys.
Nonetheless, the Pole had relatively disappointing results at the final two Grand Slams in 2024, reaching the third round at Wimbledon and falling in the quarter-finals of the US Open.
However, with Roland Garros just a few months away, four-time French Open queen Swiatek will be looking to return to the top of the rankings and claim yet another title in Paris.
WHEN IS SWIATEK’S NEXT TOURNAMENT?
After winning the Qatar Open last year, a lot was expected of Swiatek again in Doha this campaign, but she lost in the semi-final while she exited the Dubai Tennis Championships at the quarter-final stage.
She has another 1,000 points to defend at her next tournament, the Indian Wells Open, after beating Maria Sakkari in the 2024 final. After that, she will head to Florida for the second leg of the Sunshine Double, the Miami Open.
WHAT ABOUT SWIATEK’S RANKING?
Swiatek is currently the No 2 ranked women’s singles player in the world and was initially engaged in a tight contest at the top of the WTA Rankings with Aryna Sabalenka, but has fallen away in recent weeks with the Belarusian increasing her lead.
Overall, she has held the top spot in the WTA Rankings for 125 weeks.
HOW MUCH PRIZE MONEY HAS SWIATEK WON?
The Polish superstar has collected $34,842,891 in prize money across her career, with nearly $2 million of that coming in this year alone.
Off the court, the former world No 1 has sponsorships with Porsche, Technifiber, Red Bull, Rolex, On – being the second-highest-paid athlete of 2024.

SWIATEK’S BEST WINS
Swiatek’s best wins came as he won her five Grand Slam titles.
Four of five of these titles have come at Roland Garros, where she has won 32 of her 33 matches at the second Grand Slam of the year.
Her victory in 2025 made her just the third female singles player to win three consecutive titles in Paris, after Justine Henin (2005 – 2007) and Monica Seles (1990-92).
In 2022, the former world No 1 claimed the US Open title, where she battled from a set down against Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals, before overcoming Ons Jabeur in the final to claim her third Grand Slam title.
WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT HER
Seven-time Grand Slam champion John McEnroe: “She’s a natural mover on clay. She gets in and out of the corners better than any player, including most male players, too. She just has an understanding of the court and a comfort level that players don’t have in her game naturally. You know, it was more effective.
“Off the ground, she can take the ball early. She can play defence when she needs to. So, she’s extremely difficult to beat. It’d be surprising if she doesn’t win three or four more of them at least. We’ll see what happens. But she certainly knows what she’s doing on this court. Iga wants to be like Rafa, obviously, who wouldn’t on clay? She’s doing pretty good so far, winning three out of four French Opens.”
Eight-time Grand Slam champion Mats Wilander: “She can defend better than anybody else, which then makes her more relaxed in being more aggressive than everybody else. She moves better than everybody else, I believe, and she can play on all the different surfaces. So, I think it’s just about her not standing in her own way.”
