‘Jannik Sinner’s domination is on the level of Roger Federer in 2004-06 or Novak Djokovic in 2011’

Former ATP star Fabrice Santoro believes Jannik Sinner’s current level of dominance matches that of Roger Federer between 2004 and 2006 and Novak Djokovic in 2011.
The Frenchman, a former world No 17, cited Sinner’s extraordinary streak of matches played without losing in straight sets.
Since his 3-6, 3-6 defeat to Novak Djokovic in the final of the 2023 ATP Finals, Sinner has won at least a set in his last 89 matches and amassed a staggering 83-6 (96.5%) record in the process.
During this streak, Sinner has won nine titles, including three majors, an ATP Finals title and three Masters 1000 events, while he has also inspired Italy to win the last two Davis Cup titles.
Sinner dropped just two sets en route to winning the 2025 Australian Open — a title he clinched with a straight-set final win over Alexander Zverev.
The world No 1 also lost only two sets during both of his two previous Grand Slam title runs at the Australian Open and US Open in 2024.
The 23-year-old Italian sits on 11,830 points in the ATP Rankings and he has a huge 3,695-point lead over world No 2 Alexander Zverev.
In an interview with L’Equipe, Santoro compared Sinner’s outstanding run since the end of 2023 to some of Federer and Djokovic’s most dominant periods.

Jannik Sinner told ‘he can win every Grand Slam he plays’ by former ATP star
“The last time Sinner lost a match without winning a set was in November 2023 against Djokovic in the Masters (ATP Finals) final,” Santoro said.
“Last year, when he lost [in] a Grand Slam, he went to the fifth each time, and in the other tournaments, he went to the third each time.
“He has never left the court without winning at least one set in 14 months, which is huge. And very telling.
“It is on the level of the great domination of Federer in 2004 to 2006 or Djokovic 2011 and I am not sure they have done as well or better.”
Across 2004, 2005 and 2006, which are are widely considered to Federer’s prime years, the Swiss legend compiled a 247-15 (94.3%) record and won 34 titles, including eight Grand Slams.
