Jannik Sinner gives update on his relationship status

Jannik Sinner has confirmed that he is no longer dating fellow player Anna Kalinskaya, but he has brushed off suggestions he is already in a new relationship.
Rumours had been doing the rounds since November last year that the two tennis players are no longer an item, but they kept tight-lipped about their private lives.
Sinner, though, was recently spotted driving around Monte Carlo with model Lara Leito while the Russian also attended one of his practice matches in the Principality.
Ahead of his return to action following his three-month ban for failing two doping tests in March 2024, Sinner was asked about his romantic life and insisted he was “not in a relationship”, although he didn’t deny any romantic involvement with Leito.
“I was surprised to see some of the photos of me in the press (with a girl). In the end, it made me realise that I’m someone important on and off the court. Simply put, I’m not in a relationship,” the world No said.
But that is official confirmation that his relationship with Kalinskaya is over.
The pair started dating in the early parts of the 2024 tennis season as rumours circulated ahead of the French Open that they were in a relationship before it was all but confirmed when the Russian player was seen attending one of the Italian’s matches at Roland Garros.
Sinner then stated in Paris: “I don’t like to talk about my private life much, but yes, Anna and I are dating.”
They were then spotted enjoying some off time in Sardinia and images were soon doing the rounds on social media.
The pair took things to the next level at last year’s US Open with Kalinskaya in his player’s box during his win over Taylor Fritz in the final and they shared a long embrace and kiss after the match.

Not long after there were even rumours that they are getting married, but Sinner brushed it off.
“My wedding? It’s new news for me too (smiles). Nothing happened with Anna, I didn’t ask her to marry me,” he said back in October.
“I just read some details, that it would happen after the US Open… but no it’s all false, it’s fake news.”
Former world No 13 Kalinskaya said on social media: “To clarify things about fake rumors: this is not true.
“Thank you for all your congratulations. False start.”
Just over a month later Italian media reported that the tennis power couple had called it a day and it has taken six months for Sinner to confirm they are no longer in a relationship.
