Jo Wilfried Tsonga withdraws from Marseille tournament
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga concerned
Jo Wilfried Tsonga is out the ATP Marseille tournament as he continues to be plagued by a reported hamstring injury.
The Frenchman injured his hamstring during last week’s semifinal match against Lucas Pouille in Montpellier.
Although Tsonga was up, 6-1, 5-5, he suddenly walked up the net and retired.
“A giant (tear), slightly one, I do not know but, I’ll should have extra checks,” he stated post-match.
But while the 32-year-old has yet to confirm the full extent of his injury, he withdrew from this week’s Rotterdam tournament and is now reportedly out of next week’s event in Marseille.
Tsonga has won the Marseille tournament three times.
