Tennis analyst urges Nick Kyrgios to stay in the sport, saying ‘tennis is more fun with you in it’

Nick Kyrgios has been encouraged to “take his time” and do what “makes him happy” following his recent retirement hints with Mark Petchey earnestly trying to persuade him to stay involved in the sport in some capacity.
The Australian has only played a handful of tournaments this year and he revealed after the Laver Cup that his 2021 season has ended prematurely due to injury while he also admitted that he is unlikely to “play for four or five more years on Tour”.
Nick Kyrgios confirms Laver Cup is his last event of the year and again gives early retirement hint
It was not the first time that the 26-year-old had suggested that retirement is just around the corner, but former British No 1 and Amazon Prime commentator Petchey hopes Kyrgios “stays in the sport”.
Not sure where you are in the world right now @NickKyrgios but take your time, think about what makes you happy and make the decision that suits you best but there are many in tennis who want to see you stay in the sport. You are a long time retired.🎾 is more fun with you in it
