The Czech-American won the French Open three times from his 15 campaigns at the tournament, having made his debut in 1978 and his last appearance in 1994.

Jim Courier accumulated a 40-9 (81.6%) record from the 49 matches he contested at the French Open, which makes it his most successful major in terms of win rate.
