Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic both recently increased their totals of career singles finals reached with their respective runs at the Swedish Open and the Paris Olympics.

Only three men have played in more ATP finals than the legendary duo, with their great rival Roger Federer one such player.

5. Rafael Nadal — 131

Rafael Nadal has played in 131 ATP singles finals during his 23-year professional career so far and has compiled a 92-3 record.

The Spaniard has reached 72 clay-court finals (63-9), 52 on hard courts (25-27) and seven on grass courts (4-3), while he has won a single indoor title at both clay and hard-court events.

Nadal was beaten by Dominik Hrbaty in his first career final at the 2004 Auckland Open, while he lost to Nuno Borges at the 2024 Swedish Open in his most recent.

4. Novak Djokovic — 140

Novak Djokovic has reached 140 singles finals in his 21-year career to date and triumphed in 99 of these matches.

The Serbian holds a 71-21 record from his 92 championship matches on hard courts (19-6 indoors), while he has reached 34 finals on clay (20-14) and 14 on grass (8-6).

Djokovic defeated Nicolas Massu in his maiden final at the 2006 Dutch Open and overcame Carlos Alcaraz in his most recent title match at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

3. Ivan Lendl — 146

Ivan Lendl compiled a 94-52 record from the 146 ATP finals he played in during a professional career spanning from 1978 to 1994.

The Czech-American reached 52 hard-court finals (30-22), 51 on carpet (34-17), 38 on clay (28-10) and five on grass (2-3). He contested 85 finals outdoors (52-33) and 61 indoors (42-19).

Lendl lost his first final to Balazs Taroczy at the 1979 Belgian Open, while he fell to Pete Sampras in Sydney in 1994 in his last-ever title match.

2. Roger Federer — 157

Roger Federer contested 157 tour-level finals, winning 103, during a professional career that started in 1998 and ended in 2022.

The Swiss won 71 of the 98 hard-court title matches he played (24 indoors), compared to 19 of 27 on grass, 11 of 26 on clay, and two of six on carpet.

Federer was beaten by Marc Rosset in his first final at the Marseille Open in 2000, while he downed Alex de Minaur in his last at the 2019 Swiss Indoors in Basel.

1. Jimmy Connors — 164

Jimmy Connors won 109 of the 164 ATP singles finals he reached — both of which are records — during a professional career spanning from 1972 to 1996.

The American secured 55 of his titles indoors on either hard or carpet courts, while he won 31 on outdoor hard courts, 14 on clay, and nine on grass.

Connors lost his maiden ATP final in five sets to Tom Gorman at the 1971 Columbus Open, and won his last-ever title match against Gilad Bloom in Tel Aviv in 1989.
