Leylah Fernandez, Anna Kalinskaya and Elena Rybakina: Money and points earned in Washington DC
Leylah Fernandez, Anna Kalinskaya and Elena Rybakina all starred at the Citi DC Open, but how many points and how much prize money did they earn?
In the final at the WTA 500 tournament on Sunday, Fernandez dismantled Kalinskaya 6-1, 6-2 in an hour and nine minutes to secure her fourth and biggest career title.
Fernandez’s triumph earned her 500 ranking points and $197,570, taking her prize money in 2025 to $1,090,781. Her total career prize money is $6,747,979.
Speaking to wtatennis.com after the final, Fernandez was asked how it felt to win her first title since 2023.
“It’s been a long, long couple of years with a lot of ups and downs,” said the 22-year-old Canadian.
“Getting this title is great not only for confidence and self-belief, but also for the whole team and family. The past couple of years, we’ve gone through a lot of tough moments. This trophy just indicates how much they have fought.”
Fernandez also opened up about struggling with pressure after her breakthrough run to the final of the 2021 US Open.
“It was mainly my own expectations,” she explained. “I played some great tennis in New York — a lot of my balls were going in.

“At some point, post-2021, I let my guard down a little bit. To be fair, my coach [and father Jorge] had warned me about it and I was just too naive at the time to believe him.”
Kalinskaya collected 325 points and $121,880 for her runner-up result in Washington.
The 26-year-old Russian, who is now 0-3 in WTA finals, has earned $942,883 this year and $5,184,913 in her career.
Rybakina, who fell 7-6(2), 6-7(3), 6-7(3) to Fernandez in a pulsating semi-final, earned $71,205 and 195 points for making the last four.
The 26-year-old Russian-born Kazakh, a Wimbledon champion in 2022, has racked up $1,969,642 in prize money this season and $17,704,632 in her career.
World No 12 Rybakina was one of four top 20 WTA players in action in DC, along with Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro and Clara Tauson.
Pegula and Navarro both earned $19,085 and gained no points as they lost in the second round after receiving a first round bye.
Tauson, Taylor Townsend, Magdalena French and Maria Sakkari all exited at the quarter-final stage, which saw them secure 108 points and $37,530.
