Rafael Nadal fans getting very excited as images emerge of his return to action

Rafael Nadal has taken his first tentative steps back onto the tennis court as he looks to get in shape ahead of the 2022 season.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion has been out of action for several weeks after he confirmed he would not play competitively again this year due to a persistent foot injury.
Now footage has emerged of Nadal practicing at his Academy in Mallorca, a little over a month after he was seen on crutches after a procedure to resolve his injury issue.

Nadal admitted in a recent documentary on Amazon Prime that his career will soon come to a close, but he will want to have some more moments of glory before he hangs up his rackets.
With Melbourne authorities suggesting they will only allow players who have taken a coronavirus vaccine to take part in January’s Australian Open, Nadal will be eyeing up a return to action in the opening Grand Slam of the New Year.
Nadal has confirmed that he has been vaccinated, but his long-time rival Novak Djokovic is among those who may be blocked from playing at the Australian Open as he has voiced doubts over the vaccines.
