Simona Halep with a message for her fans after she recovers from Covid-19

Simona Halep has issued a message to her army of fans around the world, after her challenging 2020 tennis season ended with a positive test for Covid-19.
The world No.2 only managed to play 26 matches over the course of a year that was so badly impacted by the global pandemic, with a run to the semi-finals of the Australian Open and a win at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome noteable highlights.
It was not the year Halep or her fans would have been hoping for, with her positive Covid test last month ensuring her year ended on a low note.
Yet she appeared to be in upbeat spirits, as she sent out some positive message to her supporters.

2020… what to say?
It has been one of the most challenging years of our lives. When tennis was taken away, I took a step back and realised how grateful I was to be able to play the sport I love for a living. I was proud to come back and win 2 titles, to build a 17-match pic.twitter.com/VBFgnlf6HL

The real superheroes of this year, though, are the healthcare workers who are fighting for us every day.
Looking forward to seeing you all for the 2021 season, Simo ❤️ pic.twitter.com/Aw8Y2EO7Fj
