Tennis Today: Serena Williams makes royal gaffe, and ATP stars back on Cards Against Humanity craze
APT stars just can’t seem to stop playing Cards Against Humanity, while Serena Williams may have let a royal cat out of the bag.
What’s on the site
The ATP is back this week and our man Deggsy is back to show you how to best invest your stake money at the bookies, with Kyle Edmund tipped to shine.
Alexander Zverev heads into clay court season with a lot of points to defend, but Toni Nadal has suggested that the German is a lot slower to make his presence felt than other ‘next big things’ of the past.
And has Novak Djokovic lost his desire again already? That’s the suggestion from one pundit, although we are a little dubious about his reasoning.
What’s in the news
The Cards Against Humanity craze is still going strong and it apparently continues to grip the ATP.
Not content with just one video of players taking part, the ATP have released another. In part two, Alexander Zverev is in the judging chair as brother Mischa, Diego Schwartzman, and Marcelo Melo play the game with a tennis theme.
In other news, Serena Williams may have served up a double fault in an interview by possibly accidentally revealing the gender of the royal baby.
When asked in a TV interview for any advice she’d give to new mothers, Williams gave a lovely reply.
“Accept mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect,” Williams said. “We put so much pressure on ourselves.
“My friend is pregnant, and she was like, ‘My kid’s gonna do this,’ [and] I just looked at her like, ‘No, she’s not. No, you’re not. She was like, ‘I need to talk to you about tips,’ because, yes, I had all of those high expectations.”
Williams is, of course, good friends with Meghan Markle, who is expecting her first child with husband Prince Harry.
Was she the ‘friend’ to which Williams was referring? We’ll probably find out soon enough!
