Only 12 active ATP Tour players have won outdoor hard-court, clay, grass and indoor hard-court titles with Jannik Sinner the latest to achieve the feat.

Novak Djokovic leads the list for most hard-court titles won, but did you know that 19 of his hard-court trophies came at indoor events?

Furthermore, did you know that Andy Murray and Richard Gasquet are part of an exclusive two-man club of active players who have won titles on five different surfaces as they both have an indoor carpet title to their name?

The active players to win titles on outdoor hard court, clay, grass and indoor hard court:

1. Novak Djokovic

With 98 career titles to his name, it is no surprise that Djokovic headlines the list as he has won all the big titles during his career.

Seventy-one (71!) of the tennis great’s titles have come on hard courts and they are further split into 52 on outdoor hard courts and 19 on indoor hard courts.

The 24-time Grand Slam winner also has 19 titles on clay and eight trophies on grass with seven of those grass titles coming at Wimbledon.

Djokovic is the only player on the list whose titles on the four different surfaces came at the biggest tournaments as he won Grand Slams on hard indoor, clay and grass, and the ATP Finals on an indoor hard court.

2. Rafael Nadal

King of Clay Nadal has won 92 titles with an incredible 63 coming on clay.

He has won 25 trophies on hard-courts with only one of those coming indoors back at the 2005 Madrid Open when the ATP Masters 1000 tournament was still a hard-court event played at the Madrid Arena.

In case you were wondering, his four grass court titles came at Wimbledon (2), Queen’s Club and Stuttgart.

Nadal hasn’t won the ATP Finals so his Madrid Open trophy is his biggest title on an indoor hard court.

3. Andy Murray

Andy Murray and Richard Gasquet (see below) are in a league of their own as they have also won a title on carpet. Murray has won 34 hard-court titles with 20 coming outdoors and 14 indoors. He also has eight grass-court trophies and three clay-court titles.

His sole indoor carpet trophy came at the 2007 St Petersburg Open.

4. Daniil Medvedev

Daniil Medvedev is a self-confessed hard-court specialist and unsurprisingly 18 of his 20 titles have come on the surface with 12 won on indoor courts.

He won his only title on grass at the 2021 Mallorca Championships and in 2023 he ended his clay drought when he lifted the Italian Open trophy.

5. Marin Cilic

Croatia great Marin Cilic’s biggest title came at the 2014 US Open when he defeated Kei Nishikori in the final.

Fifteen of Cilic’s 20 titles to date have come on hard courts with nine of the 15 trophies won at indoor events.

He is a two-time Queen’s Club Championship winner (one title was in 2012 when the tournament was an ATP 250 event) while he also won the Stuttgart Open.

Cilic’s two clay titles have come at ATP 250 events.

6. Jannik Sinner

Sinner won a Grand Slam on an outdoor hard court, an ATP 500 event on an indoor hard court, an ATP 500 event on grass and an ATP 250 tournament on clay.

Twelve of the reigning Australian Open champion’s 14 titles have come on hard courts with six of those coming at indoor events.

7. Dominic Thiem

Former US Open winner Thiem is one of seven players on the list to have won a major with his Grand Slam success coming in 2020. That is one of 17 titles he has won.

Ten of his titles have come on clay, six of his trophies have come on hard courts (two indoors) with his solitary grass title coming at the 2016 Stuttgart Open.

8. Grigor Dimitrov

Grigor Dimitrov has yet to win a Grand Slam, but he has won an ATP Masters 1000 title on an outdoor hard court and the ATP Finals on indoor hard court.

His clay and grass trophies were won at ATP 250 events as he won his only title on the red dirt at the Romania Open in 2014 and the Queen’s Club Championships (when it was still an ATP 250 event) on grass a few weeks later.

9. Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas has won five hard court titles and all five are ATP 250 titles with four of them coming at indoor events. His only outdoor hard-court title came at the 2023 Los Cabos Open.

His biggest title came at the 2019 ATP Finals while he has won three ATP Masters 1000 titles on clay and one ATP 250 tournament on grass.

10. Hubert Hurkacz

Hubert Hurkacz has eight titles to his name with six coming on outdoor hard courts. His two ATP Masters 1000 titles have come on the outdoor hard courts at the Miami Open and the Shanghai Masters.

The Pole’s only grass trophy came at the 2022 Halle Open and earlier in 2024 he won his maiden title on clay at Estoril.

11. Roberto Bautista Agut

Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut’s biggest career title is the ATP 500 outdoor hard court Dubai Tennis Championships, which he won in 2018.

Eight of his 11 titles have come on hard courts with one of the eight coming indoors at the 2016 Sofia Open.

Agut has won two titles on clay (Stuttgart Open and Austrian Open) and the Rosmalen Championships on grass.

12. Richard Gasquet

Not only is Gasquet the only active player besides Murray to win a title on carpet, but he is the only one on this list with only ATP 250 titles to his name.

All 16 of the Frenchman’s titles have come at ATP 250 events with nine coming on hard courts (six indoor and three outdoor).

Gasquet has also won three titles on clay and three on grass.
