Toni Nadal gives update on Rafael Nadal comeback date
Rafael Nadal could make his comeback from injury in Spain’s Davis Cup clash with Germany in early April, his uncle and former coach has said.
Nadal has been out of action since retiring hurt in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open in January, and had tentatively pencilled in the Monte Carlo Masters and clay court season for his return.
However, Toni Nadal says Rafael could make an appearance for Spain in the Davis Cup a couple of weeks before that.
“I spoke with him and his goal is to play it”, Toni said.
“Obviously, we, or rather he, will see how he is. If he’s recovered, then surely he’ll play.”
