How to watch Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula and more in action at the United Cup
Several of the best players from the ATP Tour and the WTA Tour will participate in Perth and Sydney, Australia in 2024 during the innovative United Cup team event.
In 2023, Team United States will look to defend the mixed teams championship they won, while Team Serbia, led by Novak Djokovic, the top player in the ATP rankings, will be competing for the first time.
The United Cup of 2024 is scheduled to take place from 29 December 2023, to 7 January 2024. The Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre and the RAC Arena in Perth will host the outdoor hard-court competition, which is scheduled to begin in 2023.
Six groups of three have been drawn from the 18 teams competing in the event. Round-robin ties will be used during the group stages, with each team playing both other teams in their group. One ATP singles match, one WTA singles match, and one mixed doubles match will comprise each tie. Each group’s top team advances to the quarterfinals, and the best runner-up team in Perth and Sydney also gets a berth in the quarterfinals.
Nine top 20 ATP Tour players are currently set to feature at the team event including top ten stars Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev and world No 11 Casper Ruud.
Five of the WTA Tour’s Top 10 women will feature, including Poland’s Iga Swiatek, USA’s Jessica Pegula, Greece’s Maria Sakkari and Czech Republic’s Marketa Vondrousova.
