WTA Miami Open 2025 Entry List: Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff headline; Will Emma Raducanu play?
The fourth WTA 1000 event of the 2025 campaign will take place in Miami, and fans in South Florida look set to be treated to a strong field.
This year’s Miami Open, which will be held from March 18 to 30, will mark the 40th anniversary of a tournament formed in 1985.
The hard-court event, which is the second leg of the ‘Sunshine Double’ after the Indian Wells Open, is staged at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Danielle Collins will be the defending champion at the 40th edition of the Miami Open having beaten Elena Rybakina 7-5, 6-3 in the 2024 final.
The world’s top two players, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek, will feature, while world No 3 Coco Gauff is one of four Americans set to be seeded in the top 10 with Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys and Emma Navarro.
How many players will feature in the main draw?
The Miami Open women’s singles main draw will be contested by 96 players, a total made up from 76 direct entrants, 12 qualifiers and eight wildcards.
Who has received wildcards?
The wildcards for the 2025 Miami Open are yet to be announced.
In 2024, Erika Andreeva, Hailey Baptiste, Brenda Fruhvirtova, Linda Fruhvirtova, Simona Halep, Emma Raducanu, Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki were given wildcards.
Have any players withdrawn?
As things stand, no players on the WTA Miami entry list have pulled out of the event.
Which former champions will play?
Three former Miami Open champions are on the original entry list: Collins (2024), Swiatek (2022) and Victoria Azarenka (2009, 2011 and 2016).
Sloane Stephens and Petra Kvitova, who won the tournament in 2018 and 2023 respectively, have not gained entry via ranking, but they could receive wildcards.

Will Emma Raducanu play?
Emma Raducanu’s ranking has earned her direct entry into the Miami Open main draw after she required a wildcard to play the first two WTA 1000 events of 2025 in Doha and Dubai.
