WTA Rankings: Diana Shnaider & Katie Boulter reach milestones, Paula Badosa continues rise, Zeynep Sonmez +36
Diana Shnaider and Katie Boulter have both reached milestones in the WTA Rankings after their Hong Kong Open runs, while Paula Badosa’s ascent has continued.
Shnaider has jumped two places to a career-high ranking of world No 12 after dismantling Boulter 6-1, 6-2 in the final in Hong Kong.
The 20-year-old Russian’s triumph at the WTA 250 event saw her secure her fourth title of a breakthrough 2024 campaign. Shnaider was the only player in the top 20 of the WTA Rankings who played last week.
Boulter has made a six-place surge to a new career-high ranking position of 23rd after reaching her third final of the season.
The 28-year-old Brit, who won titles in San Diego and Nottingham this year, reached her previous best ranking of world No 27 in March.
Anna Kalinskaya, who has fallen from 11th to 14th, is the only player in the top 20 other than Badosa and Shnaider to move to a different ranking spot.
Badosa did not play a tournament last week, but she has climbed from 12th to 11th in the WTA Rankings.
