Tennis Today: Serena Williams feuding with Patrick Mouratoglou over US Open claims

In Tennis Today, Serena Williams has been discussing how things stand with coach Patrick Mouratoglou after US Open coaching claims, and it’s not all that complimentary.

Sunday was Juan Martin del Potro’s 30th birthday, so we gave him some special Tennis365 birthday bumps in the form of 10 must-know facts about the most likeable Argentinian bloke of all time.
Elsewhere, Caroline Wozniacki became the latest player to offer her views on the Serena Williams/US Open debate.
Which side of the debate did she land on? Find out by reading her thoughts here.
And Roger Federer has been discussing that ball to the back that Novak Djokovic gave him at the Laver Cup.
What’s in the news
The fallout from the US Open women’s final just keeps coming, with plenty of people still offering their take on the extraordinary scenes during the clash between Serena Williams and umpire Carlos Ramos.
Williams herself, though, has reiterated her stance on the allegation that really riled her – the coaching violation – insisting she still does not understand Patrick Mouratoglou’s confession that he was trying to coach her during the final.
“I just don’t understand what (Patrick Mouratoglou) was talking about because I asked him, you weren’t coaching, we don’t have signals, we’ve never had signals and he said he made a motion,” she told The Sunday Project.
“So you said you made a motion, now you told people that you’re coaching me, that doesn’t make sense, why would you say that?”
She did, however, indicate she was ready to simply just move on from the incident.
“What I’m just trying to do most of all is to just recover.”

And Chris Evert showed us that even greatness feels awe towards Roger Federer.
