Earlier in the week Ashleigh Barty came under fire from fans for playing doubles at the US Open.

Barty made an early exit from the US Open and fans said it was because she “exhausted” herself during the doubles, but the Australian has hit back.

“It’s my career and I certainly don’t really take notice of that. They’re not people I’m worried about,” she told AAP, via 7news.com.au.

And her doubles partner Victoria Azarenka added this bit: “That’s why they’re called trolls.”

The Daily Mail’s Mike Dicks has something on Danill Medvedev ahead of his US Open semi-final against Grigor Dimitrov, saying “love him or hate him, Daniil Medvedev is the new bad boy of tennis”.
