In Tennis Today, what’s it like living in the media spotlight for Novak Djokovic and his family? And tennis fans are getting another new documentary to enjoy.

What’s on the site
Remember when 2020 was supposed to be the year that Andy Murray finally returns to regular competition on the ATP Tour?

Well, he’s still injured, and now it’s starting to look like we won’t be seeing him until grass court season.

That probably means that we won’t be seeing Murray at the Olympics – if we were ever even likely to – but Roger Federer will be there, and he’s been made an offer for a doubles pairing.

Federer is, apparently, unplayable. As is Novak Djokovic. Rafael Nadal, though? Sorry Rafa…

In WTA-land, there has been a truly star-studded line-up announced for the Miami Open at the end of March, headed by world number one Ashleigh Barty.

And which tennis stars really need a serious bounce-back season in 2020? Here are seven for starters…

What’s in the news
Modern streaming services are really pushing the boundaries when it comes to sporting documentaries.

Tennis fans have been spoiled too, with Amazon Prime’s Andy Murray: Resurfacing a huge hit.

Netflix are now getting with the programme too, with Naomi Osaka the subject.

“To be able to tell my story and let people in during this big year, working with a team that really understands me, has been a rewarding experience,” Osaka said in the statement.

“It won’t look like a traditional sports documentary, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone.”

Elsewhere, Jelena Djokovic has been talking about the pitfalls of the media spotlight that is constantly cast upon her and Novak Djokovic.

“You lack anonymity, you lack the privacy to be able to do whatever you like at any time, in any situation,” she sad.

“I try to resist all these expectations to always be myself and for Novak to be able to be himself.”

And Serena Williams is doing more Serena Williams things, specifically bossing it on the subject of the awesomeness of mothers.

“My heroes have changed,” she said, as quoted in the Daily Mail.

“I always looked at different people. And after having a child, I was like, “My heroes are moms.” Women are superheroes,’ she said.
