Tennis Today: Novak Djokovic ‘strips down’ plus Genie Bouchard’s wet T-shirt contest

In Tennis Today, Novak Djokovic wears budgie smugglers and Genie Bouchard is a big tease.
What’s on the site
New week, new tournament, new betting preview from Derek Bilton.
As you will know by now, the Rogers Cup gets underway today and there were one or two concerns over Rafael Nadal’s fitness, but the world No 1 says he is fit and raring to go.
It is certainly one of the oddest pairings, but Wimbledon finalists Novak Djokovic and Kevin Anderson will team up in the doubles in Toronto.
Results round-up:
Alexander Zverev made it back-to-back titles at the Citi Open.
Svetlana Kuznetsova returned to title-winning ways in Washington.
Mihaela Buzarnescu secures maiden WTA title in style in San Jose.
What’s in the news
In case you missed it, Andy Murray pulled out of his quarter-final clash at the Citi Open and this week’s Rogers Cup.
Simon Chambers in The Observer says it’s “a sign of the bigger picture”.
This was in the news earlier this year, but Wimbledon is edging closer to increasing the venue space by 73 acres as they tabled “a massive new £65million bid” to buy land from neighbouring Wimbledon Park Golf Club.
As was the case when they initially ran the story a few months ago, Sportsmail is keen to remind readers that Piers Morgan and Ant and Dec are members of the golf club.
The controversy surrounding the Davis Cup revamp won’t go away with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) forced to defend itself against accusations of “lack of transparency”.
Tennis Australia said in a letter the process has been “far from transparent”, but the ITF told Reuters that “rigorous due-diligence has been undertaken by independent experts”.
Novak Djokovic is training in Marbella and The Sun has gone all out to tell us he “has found a novel way to beat the scorching summer heat – by training in his budgie smugglers”.
