WATCH: Andy Murray channels his inner Tiger Woods, gives hip resurfacing the thumbs up
First there was the video of him hitting tennis balls and now Andy Murray has played a round of golf and given hip resurfacing the thumbs up.
The three-time Grand Slam winner underwent surgery on his troublesome hip in January and admitted that he was not sure if he would be able to return to competitive tennis.
However, there have been a lot of positive signs from the Murray camp in recent weeks as earlier this month he posted a video in which he hits tennis balls against a wall with the caption “It’s a start” while his brother Jamie said he is “cautiously optimistic” during an interview a few days later.
And on Monday he posted another Instagram Story captioned: “Played my first round of gold for 6 years yesterday…pain free. Hip resurfacing = (thumbs up).”
His mother Judy then shared a clip on Twitter with the hope that he will be inspired by Tiger Woods, who won his first major in 11 years when he lifted the title at Masters on Sunday.
