Novak Djokovic is well known for his impressions of his fellow tennis players and Andy Murray is the latest to get the Djoker treatment.

During a photo shoot for the 2024 Australian Open, Djokovic had one of the most random thoughts as he suddenly “started thinking about Andy Murray”.

To be honest, who doesn’t have random thoughts about three-time Grand Slam winner Murray when they just go about their day?

Back to Djokovic and during the clip posted by the ATP, the 24-time Grand Slam winner thought about Murray and “this guy who does an impersonation of Andy”.

Djokovic then pulled off an impersonation of the guy who impersonated Murray.

“I started thinking about Andy Murray,” he said. “Okay. There’s this guy who does [an] impersonation of Andy.”

It sounds quite random so see for yourself as Djokovic does an impersonation of the guy doing an impersonation of Murray.

We are not quite sure which impersonator Djokovic was referring to, but something tells us it is Josh Berry.

The 36-year-olds Djokovic and Murray’s professional careers have overlapped and there has always been mutual respect between the two tennis greats.

However, they have had contrasting fortunes over the past few years with Djokovic remaining at the top and still the player to beat while Murray has struggled with form and injury.

Since Murray won his last Grand Slam, Wimbledon in 2016, Djokovic has won an astonishing 12 majors and he now sits on 24 Slams – the most of any player. Murray, of course, missed a lot of tennis during the latter stages of his career due to injury.

The duo has enjoyed mixed results during the opening rounds of this year’s Australian Open.

Whereas Djokovic battled to a four-set win over 18-year-old Dino Prizmic, Murray slumped to a three-set defeat at the hands of the 32nd seed Tomas Etcheverry.

After the loss, Murray admitted that he may well have played his last match at Melbourne Park, saying: “I mean, definitely. Definitely a possibility. Yeah, it’s a definite possibility that will be the last time I play here. And yeah, I think probably because of how the match went and everything, I don’t know.

“Whilst you’re playing the match, you’re obviously trying to control your emotions, focus on the points and everything. When you’re one point away from the end, you’re like, I can’t believe this is over so quickly, and like this.

“Yeah, in comparison to the matches that I played here last year, it’s the complete opposite feeling walking off the court. Yeah, wish I involved the crowd more. Just disappointed with the way I played and all of that stuff, so… Yeah, tough, tough way to finish.”
