WATCH: Tennis’ rooftop stars spend time at Rafa Nadal Academy as Roger Federer keeps his promise

Playing tennis on a rooftop during lockdown? Check! Meeting Roger Federer? Check! Meeting Rafael Nadal? Check! Playing tennis at the Rafa Nadal Academy? Check! Tennis’ lockdown rooftop stars Vittoria Oliveri and Carola Pessina have certainly had 18 months to remember.
Italian youngsters Oliveri and Pessina went viral in April 2020 after they were filmed playing tennis on top of a roof during the height of lockdown in Liguria.

A few months later and they were paid a visit by 20-time Grand Slam winner Federer as the Swiss decided to join them in a match of rooftop tennis.
During the meeting, Federer promised to send them to a summer camp at the Rafa Nadal Academy and nearly a year later Oliveri and Pessina have finally made the trip to Mallorca in Spain.
Although Nadal doesn’t feature in the video, he did meet the two youngsters.
