Tennis365’s Top 10 Instagram tennis accounts to follow

In light of Roger Federer’s record-breaking Instagram post, we have decided to pick out the Top 10 Instagram tennis accounts to follow.

Yes, Federer set a new record for a personal Instagram account with his quokko selfie.

In case you were wondering, the world’s best players don’t come close to the top 50 Instagram accounts, which is topped by Instagram (230m) and followed by Selena Gomez (132m) and Cristiano Ronaldo (118m).

However, there are still a lot of good tennis related Insta accounts out there and here’s our list… don’t forget to give us a follow on @tennis365official.

10. Eugenie Bouchard – 1.6m followers (@geniebouchard)
Former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard posts a lot of off-field images, especially selfies in bikinis by the pool or the beach.

9. Australian Open – 769k followers (@australianopen), French Open – 771k followers (@rolandgarros) Wimbledon – 1,2m followers (@wimbledon) – US Open – 795k followers (@usopen)
You have to keep up to date with the four Grand Slams, Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open, through their official accounts.

8. ATP Tour – 1m followers (@atpworldtour) / WTA Tour – 514k followers (@wta)
The accounts don’t have many followers when compared to a @premierleague or official player accounts, but you get a nice snapshot of what’s going on in men’s and women’s tennis. The videos, which often feature brilliant rallies or top shots, are excellent.

7. Maria Sharapova – 2.9m followers (@mariasharapova)
If modelling and fashion are your thing, then do give the Russian Grand Slam winner a follow.

6. Victoria Azarenka – 592k followers – (@vichka35)
She has more than a thousand posts and you will see a lot of images away from the court, whether it is at tourist spots around the globe or in a gym. However, her adventures with your young son Leo (@leoamac7) are the best.

???????????????????????

5. Rafael Nadal – 4.2m followers (@rafaelnadal)
One of the sport’s all-time greats giving you insight into his life on and off the court? What’s not to like? Actually unlike someone like Novak Djokovic, Nadal doesn’t share too many pictures of his private life.

4. Andy Murray – 1.4m followers (@andymurray)
If you want to see the light-hearted side of Andy Murray, something that is not always obvious when he is in action, then do give the two-time Wimbledon champion a follow.

And then cleaning my ear during end changes ????????

3. Roger Federer – 4.2m followers (@rogerfederer)
Well, his quokka selfie record (525,334 Instagram likes and 5,000 comments and counting) proves that he has global reach. Unfortunately for Federer’s 4.2m followers, he is not very active on Instagram and only posts every now and then.

Here is the selfie to prove it.

Nice to meet you #newpal @westernaustralia #rottnestisland #happyquokka

2. Novak Djokovic – 3.6m followers (@djokernole)
The 12-time Grand Slam winner gives regular updates about his life on the ATP Tour as well as moments with his family away from the court.

1. Serena Williams – 7.3m followers (@serenawilliams)
The 23-time Grand Slam winner is very active on Instagram, especially since she gave birth and tied the knot in 2017. You can get everything here from fashion tips, wedding pictures, food images and tennis videos.

You even get questions about teething. Yes, Serena asked the help of her followers when her daughter Alexis Olympia started to teeth. Of course you can also follow Alexis Olympia herself on @olympiaohanian.
