Novak Djokovic will have something old, something new and something blue for his return to the United States as his outfit for the 2023 North American hard-court swing has been unveiled.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner will return to American soil for the first time since the 2021 US Open final as he had missed last year’s edition sojourn as well as the Sunshine Double in California and Miami earlier in 2023 due to the country’s vaccination entry requirements for foreign travellers.

However, those laws were relaxed in May and Djokovic is now free to enter the United States once again.

And he will return “in style”, according to Lacoste, as the sponsor has dropped images of the kit on social media and confirmed he will return to his “traditional” blue.

“Back to America in style. Meet Novak Djokovic’s kits for the US Tour,” a post on Facebook read.

The Serbian has worn blue and/or white shirts at Flushing Meadows over the years.

He wore the traditional white at Wimbledon while he wore red and orange for his title run at the French Open. During the Middle-Eastern hard-court season, he wore a yellow/grey/green mix while he was also dressed in blue when he won the Australian Open in January.

Meanwhile, his racket sponsor HEAD has also confirmed a new design for their exclusive Novak Djokovic racket line.

“Check out Novak’s new racquet design. 🤩 How do you like @djokernole ’s exclusive racquet line? 🥰,” post on Instagram stated.

Djokovic has been HEAD ambassador since 2011 and he has used the HEAD Speed Pro model in recent years, but the newer models are the HEAD Pro Speed Limited and HEAD Speed MPLimited.

Both models are “coming soon” on the HEAD website, but the descriptions read: “Inspired by the energy and excitement of New York’s night sessions, the limited-edition SPEED PRO TENNIS RACQUET is recommended by Novak Djokovic”.

It added: “You can play fast while feeling every shot, with the new Auxetic construction providing even more sensational feel.”

Djokovic has not played any tennis since he lost the Wimbledon final against Carlos Alcaraz on July 16, but he will officially return to competitive tennis next week as he will take part in the Cincinnati Open, which runs from August 14-20.

He when then switch focus to the US Open, which starts on August 28 at Flushing Meadows in New York.
