US Open wild cards for Stan Wawrinka, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Victoria Azarenka

Grand Slam winners Stan Wawrinka, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Victoria Azarenka will be in the US Open main draw after receiving wild cards.
2016 US Open champion Wawrinka is still nursing his way back to full fitness and form after undergoing knee surgery late last year. He slipped outside the world 200 after an early exit from the French Open in May, but has worked his way back to No 151 in the world.
Kuznetsova, who won the title in 2004, also dropped down the rankings after she underwent wrist surgery while two-time US Open finalist Azarenka, a two-time Australian Open winner, missed large parts of the past two seasons due to maternity leave and personal reasons.
Other players to receive wild cards are Americans Tim Smyczek, Michael Mmoh, Noah Rubin, Bradley Klahn and Jenson Brooksby, French teenager Corentin Moutet and Australian Jason Kubler
On the women’s side, Americans Amanda Anisimova, Claire Liu, Asia Muhammad and Whitney Osuigwe will be joined by Frenchwoman Harmony Tan in the draw while Tennis Australia is still to confirm its wild card.
