Jannik Sinner is making huge leaps up the all-time prize money list in men’s tennis and he jumped above a true Wimbledon legend as he won his first title at the All England Club.

Sinner’s four-set win against Carlos Alcaraz was pretty conclusive, as he dethroned the two-time defending champion to become the first Italian to win the title at Wimbledon.

It was his fourth Grand Slam title and he now just needs to clinch the crown at the French Open to join the elite club of players to win all four major titles.

That moment may well come in 2026, but for now, Sinner is counting his winnings from his latest Grand Slam win.

A record-breaking £3,000,000 was handed out to Sinner and women’s champion Iga Swiatek this year, with that prize money windfall taking Sinner past seven-time Wimbledon champion Pete Sampras in the all-time prize money list.

Sinner has now won $45,613,926 in prize money, which takes his total past Sampras, who won $43,280,489 in a career that saw him lift 14 Grand Slam titles.

Alcaraz is still ahead of Sinner in the all-time prize money list, with his Wimbledon prize money of a little over $2,000,000 taking his career total to $47,327,764.

That total takes Alcaraz above Daniil Medvedev in the all-time prize money list and up to No 6 in the list.

Novak Djokovic tops the all-time prize money list in men’s tennis, with Rafael Nadal in second spot and Roger Federer in third, with Andy Murray in fourth position.

Sinner and Alcaraz look certain to join those all-time greats and overtake many of them in the coming years as prize money is rising and they are both on course to break through the $100m prize money barrier in double quick time.

These staggering numbers do not include the lucrative sponsorship deals Sinner and Alcaraz have been collecting in recent years.

Nike have snapped up the two big names in men’s tennis on long-term clothing deals, with Sinner also working with Gucci, Rolex, Lavazza, and Head.

Alcaraz is viewed as one of the most marketable athletes in the world right now, with his endearing personality ensuring he has fans of all ages around the world.

He is currently in sponsorship deals with Rolex, BMW, Babolat, and LVMH, while he also announced a mega new deal with Evian just before the start of Wimbledon.

The money is going to continue to roll in for these giants of the game over the next decade, as they have the tennis and the sporting world at their feet.
