Wimbledon draw: Emma Raducanu gets tricky opener and could face Ons Jabeur in the quarter-final

Emma Raducanu has been handed a tough first-round match in the 2022 Wimbledon draw as she will take on Alison van Uytvanck first up at SW19 while she could face the in-form Ons Jabeur in the quarter-final.
US Open champion Raducanu, who reached the fourth round on her Wimbledon main draw debut last year, is seeded 10th and finds herself in Section 5 in the bottom half of the draw.
World No 46 Van Uytvanck, who won the WTA 125K in Gaiba, Italy, a fortnight ago is penciled in first up and if Raducanu gets through that encounter then there could be an all-British second-round clash on the cards if wildcard Yuriko Miyazaki gets past Caroline Garcia.
The winner of that section, which also contains seventh seed Danielle Collins from the United States, will meet the winner of Section 6 with third seed Jabeur the highest-ranked player.

Tunisian Jabeur, who won the Berlina Open last week, faces qualifier Mirjam Björklund from Sweden in the first round with 15th seed and former Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber the projected fourth-round opponent.
Section 7 of the bottom half is led by fifth seed Maria Sakkari, who is projected to meet former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko in the fourth round.
Second seed Anett Kontaveit, who will take on Bernarda Pera from the United States in her first round encounter, is likely to meet Sakkari in the quarter-final with that winner likely to face either Jabeur or Raducanu in the semi-final.

The top half is dominated by world No 1 Iga Swiatek, who takes on Jana Fett in the first round and 13th seed Barbora Krejčíková could be a fourth-round rival.
The top half also contains 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams, Simona Halep, Paula Badosa, Coco Gauff and Karolina Pliskova.
Williams, who will return to singles action for the first time in a year, will play Harmony Tan in the first round while she could face Pliskova in the third round and Gauff in the fourth round.
