2025 Citi DC Open Entry List and Draw Date: Who are the players Emma Raducanu could face at WTA 500 event
World No 3 Jessica Pegula will be the highest-ranked player at the Mubadala Citi DC Open, but the draw will also feature five Grand Slam winners, including Emma Raducanu and all-time great Venus Williams, as well as Wimbledon runner-up Amanda Anisimova.
The Citi DC Open is the first high-profile tournament after Wimbledon and it marks the start of the North American hard-court swing. For most players it will be their first tournament after the grass-court Grand Slam.
This year’s event marks the 13th edition of the women’s competition and it has been hosted at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Washington DC since 2012.
How many players will be in the draw of the Citi DC Open?
The tournament is a WTA 500 event with a 28-player singles draw. There are four wildcards on offer while four other players will come through qualifying, leaving 20 players gaining entry via their ranking ahead of the cutoff date.
The top four seeds – Jessica Pegula, Zheng Qinwen, Amanda Anisimova and Paula Badodsa – will receive byes into the second round.

Who are the big-name players in the draw?
Two-time champion Pegula will return as she looks to win a third title following her successes in 2019 and 2021. She will be the top seed as she currently sits at No 3 in the WTA Rankings.
Now for the Grand Slam winners, seven-time major winner Venus Williams is one of those who have received a wildcard entry for her first top-level tournament in more than a year.

Four-time Slam champion Naomi Osaka has also received a wildcard and the pair will be joined by fellow major champions Raducanu, Elena Rybakina and Sofia Kenin.
Badosa will return to defend her title while Anisimova will play for the first time since finishing runner-up to Iga Swiatek in the Wimbledon final.
Tournament dates and the draw…
The Citi DC Open main draw matches will get underway on July 21, with the final set for Sunday, July 27.
The draw itself has been pencilled in for Friday, July 18.
