Dayana Yastremska dumps out Aryna Sabelank to reach Strasbourg final
Teenager Dayana Yastremska scored a straight-sets win over Aryna Sabelanka to reach the final of the Strasbourg Open, where she will face Caroline Garcia.
The 19-year-old Yastremska already has one WTA Tour title to her name after she won in Thailand earlier this year, and she is one victory away from adding a second.
The Ukrainian won 6-4, 6-4 in one hour and 26 minutes as she broke the Sabalenka serve twice in the first set and once in the second.
Dazzling Dayana!

“It’s a good win for me, against a good player,” Yastremska said. “It’s my second time being in Strasbourg…and it is nice to be back here, it’s nice to show a good performance, and get to the finals.
“I didn’t really expect to be in the final, because I had a tough period before. I was doing the work, I was trusting in myself, took a little bit of confidence, and I’m ready to compete tomorrow.”
Garcia was far too good for compatriot Chloe Paquet as she won the all-French affair 6-3, 6-4, courtesy of a single break in each set.
