Elina Svitolina conquers Rome again with easy win over Simona Halep
Elina Svitolina has done it again as the Ukrainian has successfully defended her Italian Open title.
The fourth seed, who beat Anett Kontaveit in the semi-final, went quietly about her business in Rome this week and she capped it off on Sunday by beating top seed Simona Halep in the final.
Svitolina was never troubled as she blew the world No 1 away 6-0, 6-4 in just over an hour to win her third WTA Tour title of the year.
