Grand Slam legend Martina Navratilova has heaped the praise on British teenager Emma Raducanu, describing her as the ‘whole package.’

Raducanu has powered her way into the quarterfinals of the US Open, where she will face Belinda Bencic.

Her incredible run has seen her yet to even drop a set, and Navratilova has been incredibly impressed with what she has seen.

Speaking about Raducanu, Navratilova said: “What a way of coming out in New York City, right?

“Getting this far in this tournament and then beating an American on Arthur Ashe court in this fashion.

“Keeping her head about her as well as she did. She might have got an A in her A Levels, but she’s also got an A in tennis psychology because she really knows what she’s doing out there in every aspect of the game.

“And the mental one, that’s the one that takes the longest to get, and she’s already there!”

“Her technique is impeccable. Her tennis IQ is extremely high. And the emotional level-headedness that she has, that’s really hard to come by.

“So she’s really the whole package. But as Tim [Henman] said, you don’t want to think about winning right now. It’s Belinda Bencic next, that’s all that matters.”
