Emma Raducanu news: US Open champion set for Mexican adventure as she is confirmed for two events

US Open champion Emma Raducanu is off Mexico for the next few weeks as she has entered two WTA 250 events in the North American country.
The teenager, who has not played any competitive tennis since losing in the second round of the Australian Open against the unseeded Danka Kovinic, will be the top seed at the Abierto Zapopan in Guadalajara.
Raducanu, whose best performance outside of her Flushing Meadows victory in September was a run to the quarter-final of the Transylvania Open, will be joined in the main draw by former US Open champion Sloane Stephens, whom she beat in the first round at Melbourne Park last month.
Former US Open runner-up Madison Keys as well as Sara Sorribes Tormo from Spain will also feature in Guadalajara.
The Abierto Zapopan will run from February 21-27 and the action will then move to Monterrey for the Abierto GNP Seguros with Raducanu, Stephens and Keys also joining that field.
Leylah Annie Fernandez, who finished runner-up to Raducanu at the US Open, will return to defend her Monterrey title while four-time champion Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, 2016 winner Heather Watson and 2020 champion Elina Svitolina will also compete.
The Abierto GNP Seguros will take place from February 28 until March 6.
