Johanna Konta, Petra Martic, Maria Sakkari the latest to join Simona Halep in Palmero Open field

British No 1 Johanna Konta will make her tennis return at the Palermo Open along with Petra Martic, Marketa Vondrousova and Maria Sakkari.
Following a five-month hiatus, the 2020 WTA Tour will resume on August 3 on the clay-courts in southern Italy and two-time Grand Slam winner Simona Halep confirmed her participation last week.
Organisers have now announced the majority of the main draw entrants with world No 14 Konta the second-highest ranked player after Halep (2), while Matric (15), 2019 French Open runner-up Vondrousova (18) and Sakkari (20) are also inside the WTA top 20.
