Karolina Pliskova and Caroline Wozniacki ease to Eastbourne wins

Second seed Karolina Pliskova eased herself into the third round at Eastbourne, where she is joined by Caroline Wozniacki.
The Czech star was in dominant mood against Russia’s Margarita Gasparyan, registering six aces and 28 winners en-route to a comfortable 6-3, 6-3 win.
“I think I played so far the best match on grass,” Pliskova said, in her post-match press conference.
“Of course not having many matches on grass, I think it’s good that I can move to play the next one here.
“And, of course, I always felt quite good on this grass here in Eastbourne, by playing two times [in the] final.”
Pliskova is the highest seed remaining in the tournament after the withdrawal of world number one Ashliegh Barty.
Elsehwere, Caroline Wozniacki is also through after beating Kirsten Flipkens 6-3, 6-4, and French Open finalist Marketa Vondrousova advanced against Saisai Zheng.
