The HSBC Championships at the Queen’s Club begins on June 7 and runs until the finals day on June 22 and this year, tennis fans gathering in London will get double the entertainment.

This year’s tennis extravaganza includes the famous men’s professional ATP World Tour 500 event, which has been won by Andy Murray, Carlo Alcaraz and last year’s champion Tommy Paul. This year confirmed players include British No 1 Jack Draper, Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton and Holger Rune.

A week before the men’s event, the Queen’s Club will welcome the Women’s WTA500 for the first time in 50 years.

It means some of the world’s top tournament players will be taking part. Expect to see Australian Open champion Madison Keys, top-ranked American player Jessica Pegula and British hopefuls Katie Boulter and Emma Raducanu battling it out for the title.

Former British No 1 Laura Robson is tournament director for the women’s tournament and she is relishing the prospect of bringing a brand new tournament to life.

“The most popular WTA 500 event is Charleston and as long as I can do better than them, I’ll be happy,” said Robson at a Sky Sports Tennis event, referencing the largest female-only professional tennis tournament in North America.

“It’s small little things like gifting every day and practice court availability. That’s how you can keep players happy, so that’s my No 1 goal.

“It’s a new event, so you never know how it’s going to go. I’m very positive about it and I think it’s going to be great for the players involved.

“The logistics are very hard because it’s a members club and they are used to having a lot of their own spaces and we have taken over the women’s dressing room for the first time.

“It’s a small club and that space on site is what it is. We can’t have any more, so we need to limit the amount of people that are there.

“I couldn’t be more confident about the courts. We have made sure we have fewer matches on Centre Court and No 1 Court, so hopefully that will keep them fresh.

“The general consensus is everyone is excited to have this new event, so we will see how it goes.”

Tickets for the event are now on sale and fans visiting the West Kensington venue have a few ticket options.

Tickets for the women’s tournament are on sale here and tickets for the men’s tournament are on sale here. Ticket prices for the women’s tournament start from £30 for the Andy Murray Arena but there is limited availability for both men and women’s games.

Fans can also buy hospitality tickets for the tournaments. They include packages at Love Fifteen, Roof Garden and President’s Room hospitality. The Love Fifteen tickets include a three-course lunch, afternoon tea and seats at the Centre Court East Stand.

The Roof Garden comes with a premium ticket to the East Stand, offering a magnificent view of the centre court, and an outdoor terrace that overlooks the practice courts. You’ll have the opportunity to relax with roaming canapes, live music, a complimentary bar including Pimm’s and a three-course menu, all included in this Queen’s Club VIP package.

The most exclusive hospitality package is the President’s Room. It includes Royal Box balcony seating, a champagne and canape reception, followed by a three-course lunch. You will also have access to a complimentary bar throughout the day which includes Pimm’s and spirits.
